On Wednesday 21 May 2014 the Department of Industrial and Employment Relations within the Ministry for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties organised a well attended conference on The Conditions of Employment and the Level of Integration of Third Country Nationals at the Workplace, at the Westin Dragonara, St Julians.
This conference was part of a project on the same theme which is supported by the European Integration Fund (EIF). It brought together major stakeholders in the field of employment and integration of Third Country Nationals. Hon. A Qualitative Research Study conducted by M Fsadni and Associates was presented which amongst other factors provided a good overview of the present issues and different situations faced by TCNs at the workplace. Co-ordination with project partners IOM

The experts namely, Mr. Ugo Melchionda Project Manager – Labour Migration Specialist at the International Organisation of Migration (IOM) Rome, Italy; Ms. Marta Biernath Integration Assistant at the IOM Warsaw, Poland and Mr. Tauhid Pasha, Senior Specialist, Labour Migration/Migration and Development at IOM Geneva, Switzerland also facilitated discussions in the following three different workshops:
